TVR MD1: are we close to the truth?
Automobil Revue (Swiss car magazine) published an article on the phantomatic new TVR. It's called TVR MD1 and according to words, it will be based on the last TVR Tuscan Convertible chassis. It will be equipped ewith a front Chevy V8 (the LS9, already used for the Corvette ZR1) and will boost 650 BHP. The body (in the rendering on the page there are some resemblances with the Honda S2000 and the BMW Z4) will be designed by David Martin. On sale in spring 2012.
The same article proposes an interview to Mr. Nikolai "Jocker" Smolenski.

The different sketches are not very sexy... it looks like drawn by an amateur to me.
ReplyDeleteDoors look like narrow or too high.
Front lights make me think of Alfa Romeo 159 (nice but no a TVR).
I've seen non official sketches nicer than this one.
I hope this is not the final official sketch, I feel it disapointing, sorry
Drawing are drawings, I will beleive it when I see the real thing
ReplyDeleteRumours, rumours. Seeing is believing. Besides: the drawings are not all that exciting.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't even dare to post it on my TVR-blog anymore, because I have completely lost faith in mr. Smolenski's promises.
